W/ that out of the way it's obvious you are set on keeping the OEM exhaust, probably also keeping the stock 13k rpm rev limit w/ the goal of removing the factory's ECU throttle restrictions, timing. The cost difference between Stage I & II is basically just the price of the full exhaust/ install cost if you don't want to do it yourself. The sound of the full exhaust is incredible, my bike also runs better & cooler. W/ a full exhaust, the bike looks so much better, being able to see the rear wheel/lack of a swing arm. There's also a big upside in the looks department by getting rid of the cat & large OEM muffler. is very restrictive, it adds a lot of weight and creates a lot of unnecessary heat. The OEM headers w/ cat attached is another 18lbs. Well yours is slightly less w/ the Akrapovic. I can't say enough about the improvements by getting rid of the stock exhaust system, which is governments main artilary/hardware regarding noise & "emissions". The difference between let's call it Stage I & Stage II is pretty simple though, it's not major work, it doesn't involve motor work, it's simply putting on a full exhaust and going from a 13k rpm rev limiter to 14k rpm. A few of those customers are posters here. They also own the current modded H2 performance records in the 1/4 mile, mile, top speed whether through their own sponsered programs/runs or customer set benchmarks. My experiences w/ them has been nothing but the best. I believe they've done more R&D on the H2 then any other co., they have the largest modded H2 customer base, Brock is a frequent poster here so questions can/are answered by the owner of the shop. I'd definitely go with Brocks Performance. Thanks to all of you in advance for any info.īy the way thanks to all that replied in my new intro! I want to emphasise I only want to "de-restrict" the bike so it makes the hp it probably should without all the retard of ignition and emission control crap we have on new bikes today.įinally is there any reliable people here in Australia that may carry out this modification? Any experiences? I am of course prepared to pay for that increase but want to keep the cost minimal for a reasonable gain.įrom what I understand the bike is heavily restricted through the ECU, so is it possible to "flash" the ECU taking off the power restrictions? Is that all that's needed? If not what else, and indeeed is flashing the way to go? And if so what sort of power gain in hp would I realistically get?Īny advice would be greatly appreciated. I DO NOT want to modify the bike in a crazy way at all and try for high horsepower, I just want a small to moderate reliable power increase with all the benefits of good idle ( sleeper style can I say). I have an Akrapovic exhaust that came with the bike. I want to in the future take off the restriction/s on this bike. It is not legal for restricted license holders to ride this bike on Australian roads or highways.Hi everyone I only just joined the forum as only recently have bought my 2016 H2.Ĭould some you guys give me some advice please?
